Move over Bill & Ted, it's Paddy & Sally's Excellent Adventure
The duo reunite for a new series.
They met when they were housemates in last year’s Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5 and with an instant chemistry, struck up an unlikely friendship.
In January of this year, they further cemented their bond when they appeared in Channel 5’s When Paddy Met Sally, which saw Sally, wife of the Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, moving into Doherty’s chalet on his Queensferry travellers’ site.
After the success of the two-part series, they are back and hitting the road, as they embark on a journey to meet travellers from around the world.
In this four-part series, the pair will visit Ireland, Hungary, Spain and Malaysia to explore the different traditions and customs of the local traveller communities. From Flamenco dancing in Andalusia to free-diving with the Sea Gypsies of Sabah, television’s most unlikely couple are certainly in for an excellent adventure.
Talking about their new adventure, Sally said: "I'm really excited to be visiting traveller communities in other parts of the world & learning more about them. And travelling with my good friend Paddy Doherty will be a blast."
Paddy commented: "It's going to be fascinating for me to see these other traveller communities and compare my family’s traditions with theirs. I’m excited to be going with Sally and know this will be an unforgettable experience.”
This new four-part series, Paddy & Sally’s Excellent Adventure will air on Channel 5 later this year.
