Has the minimum wage been a success?
We asked Richard Wellings from the Institute of Economic Affairs and Paul Sellers from the TUC.
It was designed to wipe out low pay for millions of employees, but fifteen years after the minimum wage was introduced, one of the men behind it says it isn't working anymore.
The minimum wage is currently £6.19 an an hour.
It is predicted that by 2017 it will rise to £7.12 - that will be 20 pence less than it was worth a decade ago.
