Catherine's special health investigations have included exposing the illegal sale of cosmetic injections, examining a link between sugar intake and dementia, and revealing the food poisoning risk from ready meals.
Since 1999 she's has also covered many major national and international stories for Channel 5 News, including the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York, the trial of the Lockerbie bombers, the Hutton Inquiry and the London Olympics.
Her toughest assignment was when she was "embedded" with the Desert Rats during the 2003 Iraq war. She received a marriage proposal as soon as she got back, promised not to go to a war zone again, and Catherine and her husband are now the proud parents of two daughters.
