Catherine Jones

Catherine has covered stories including the September 11th attacks, the trial of the murderer of Sarah Payne and the Hutton Inquiry, but she now focuses on health issues.

Her special reports have exposed dangerous contamination in ready meals and challenged the science behind the alcohol units system.
Catherine’s toughest assignment came when she was “embedded” with British troops during the 2003 Iraq war. The column of armoured vehicles she was with came to a sudden halt. The reason for the military manoeuvre? Catherine was putting on lipstick and the officer in charge was trying to make her smudge it!
