Cameras were allowed full access to all aspects of the club and players, on the pitch and training fields, in the gyms, changing rooms and boardrooms, at team meetings and at home. The film captures the recruitment process as the club sought a new manager and the moment when, two weeks later, Brendan ‘Buck’ Rodgers arrived at Melwood, prior to Liverpool’s North American tour.
He had an impressive track record at Swansea City, but would the new ‘king of the Kop’ be able to raise Liverpool’s game in time for the new season? Endorsing the appointment, managing director Ian Ayre says, “Brendan was always first choice. He has his own style and philosophy, which is evident in watching what he achieved last year with Swansea.”

Useless iPad, won't play anything that needs Flash Player. I'm sorry I bought this iPad, a complete waste of money. however I taped the series and, though its a bit sycophantic and sugary, it does give an interesting insight behind the scenes of a big club.

I agree with Dave that Kenny should've had another season, but there's no point getting worked up about something you have no control over... that's why I don't vote any more either! Also I think the song everyone's asking about is "The Fields Of Anfield Road"... it was released on CD recently for the Hillsborough Fund I think. Regarding the programme itself, I'm chuffed it's being broadcast on a "normal" TV channel and not some poncey PPV digital ish!

Laughed my head off!
Brilliant, I thought I'd never see David Brent again! The man is a comic genius. Incredible to think that these morons are paid millions of pounds to spout this rubbish at each other. I get more sense out of my 7 year old!

Amazing, this isn't just a program about football. It'sa story of family and sharing a passIon for something you love doing. Just remember that at the beginning of a journey there is always setbacks, it's how you deal with with them that defies the rest of that journey. good luck guys. YNWA

He's got off to a very bad start due to very difficult fixtures, bad luck & bad refereeing. But give him time and I'm sure Brendan Rodgers will make LFC very competitive again!

so happy to see this, even though Im not really a Liverpool fan I really enjoy seeing this and to see what football and managers life is really like. so nice to see the footballers spending time with their families and to see how nice they really are. Its good to see something positive coming out of a football club and to see what all goes into running a football club besides seeing the games on TV. Very interesting. Well Done Channel 5

What a great programme and thank you Channel 5, well done, looking forward to the next episode. Really good to see the detail in the team building spirit behind the club and the vision that has become the expectations of the fans base around the world who want to see this club back where it belongs at the top again and not just with wining but doing it in style. We welcome Brendan, let’s hope the owners stick with what they have stated and fully support the acquisitions that will be required to bring this to reality and get back to wining in style YNWA

I also don't think that this insight into LFC will do the club any harm at all, in fact it may do some good. As an LFC fan since the mid 60s and this is the first time I have seen Liverpool Football Club as more than what many people see as players performing their craft on the pitch. This 'insight' strengthens my passion for Liverpool and confirms what I already knew that they are just as much a part of the fans as they are of the club. Coincidentaly, I chose Boston Red Sox as the basball team I would follow in 2002 so, I get to see both teams behind the scenes and is a popular idea in the States. Manu Utd have done something similar and I believe its good for the clubs to open up the doors and say this is who and what we are. Great programme Channel 5, bring on the next episodes.
