why put the programme (building the underground) on the iplayer if it's not available to watch and probably never will ?????

Al
Looks really interesting but can't watch it as it just stops to buffer every 5 seconds. No problem watching iPlayer or YouTube...must be issue with this video/5.

Reference the spelling of 'program' / 'programme'. Common parlance has resulted in the American spelling of 'program' for computer programmes for no other reason than Americans use 'program' for all uses, and the first computer programmes in general use were tended to be of American origin, hence the spelling was 'program' However, it is actually incorrect for us to use the American spelling when referring to computer software. We should be using 'programme' in all cases in the same way that the Americans use 'program' in all cases. A good dictionary will show both spellings when related to computer software.

In the comments above "Dave" says he is going to save the programme for his grandchildren. How is he going to do that as there does not seem to be a download facility on Channel5 On Demand ?.

Those that say it must be your ISP, your PC etc etc you get what you pay for blah blah blah, I can sit here with BBC iPlayer AND sky go running AT THE SAME TIME with out it roubling my connection at all, both with MUCH better picture trouble then the low quality dished up on here, this STILL just keeps buffering no mater what time of day i try and play it, How can that be MY fault ??????

Appalling reception to this probably fascinating programme on the London Underground using Demand 5. More time buffering than playing. Not my end as I could play BBC iplayer played without it buffering at the same time!

Robert No problem with quality of picture, no buffering or intermittent sound. I suggest you get what you pay for in your ISP. This was viewed on a Mac mini with only 2Gb memory and picture is perfect. Program is excellent. more please.

Watched half of what has so far been a very interesting program, but have given up due to 5oD being so poor, constant stuttering and buffering, and YES it is YOUR site and not my connection, iplayer and sky go working fine

great program loved it... pity it isn't true about being the biggest but all the same loved it.. biggest by passenger number is moscow with ease at 9 million a day that is london and new york combined. biggest by ""underground"" tracks as implied in the title is also moscow. biggest by total track under the direct day to day management of one operator is london with it's extensive above ground network. classiest certainly moscow, cleanest moscow, frequency at 1 minute heading moscow, hours of operation 05.00 to 01.00 moscow. generally london you fail but hey the program was great all the same . more of this please.

David This programme on the London Underground was possibly the best I've ever seen for explaining the engineering development to meet social need. As a civil engineer I found it brilliant and will recommend it to anyone in education and training especially. It puts over masses of information in such a short time, with excellent demonstrations, graphics, photos etc

It is unfortunate that a person can not watch a video due to its location on the planet. I'm an architect and I am very disappointed with this type of restriction. Gaspar.
