Since graduating from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1996, Nicholas Bishop has worked extensively in international theatre, film and television.
Perhaps best known to UK viewers for his role as Detective Peter Baker in hit Aussie soap Home and Away, Bishop has also starred in Past Life, McLeod's Daughters, Heartbreak High, Water Rats, Blue Heelers, Farscape, White Collar Blue and All Saints.
Bishop's film credits include Punishment, Occasional Coarse Language, My Mother Frank, Powderburn and the critically acclaimed Walking on Water.
An accomplished screen acting teacher who has worked with NIDA for the past decade, Bishop has been the Australia Day Ambassador for the entertainment industry for the past seven years.

When comparing the two of them someone commented "the lesser pretty" Simon Baker. I'm afraid that I think Simon Baker is the better looking/sexier by far

toni i have racked my brains for two weeks i to thought he looked like simon baker the mentalist so i am glad iam not the only one but liked him in home and away also agree simon baker is the better looking of the two love the program anyway
