Among the contributors are Larry Lamb (Gavin & Stacey), Ruth Madoc (Hi-de-Hi!), Warren Mitchell (Alf Garnett), Neil Morrissey (Men Behaving Badly), Andrew Sachs and Prunella Scales (Fawlty Towers), Ann Widdecombe, Barry Cryer, Richard Curtis and Ronni Ancona.

I saw some of this again last night, Monday, and it is BRILLIANT. The range of of comedy characters is incredible From the horrific yet watchable Basil Fawlty, the innocent and excruciating Frank Spencer, and the totally sublime Reginal Perrin played by Leonard Rossiter (never bettered by other attempts even those actors are excellent). These creations are an amazing combination of brilliant writing, superb acting, and a great sense of what it is to be British.

How can this be boring? It is a brittiant look at some of Britain's favourite comedy characters, performed brilliantly by our finest actors (and Leigh Francis!) So glad Channel 5 are repeating it, as I missed it the first time around.

I have to take it the negitive responses (especially the one who thinks using 2 letters and a number can signify a word!) are all either under 30 or don't really have a rounded appriciation for comedy over the last several decades, seriously, the description of the program must have given some indication to the content, if you found it boring and not GREAT (oh, the use of 2 extra charactors, the effort!!) then you really mustn't have any idea as to what you were going to watch, under the age of 30 by some chance? I found the programme quite humorous and enjoyable to watch 50 different programs with several clips spanning the last several decades, if you have any taste in the actual comody that has shapped this country then you should get something out of this program or maybe this was one for the bbc viewing demagraphic?!
