Episode 7 - Tantara's Wish
The Fox-Stillwell family is committed to raising awareness and money for research into Von Hippel Lindau Syndrome, through their organisation Tantara's Wish.
Despite their own difficulties, the Fox-Stillwell family is committed to raising awareness and money for research into Von Hippel Lindau Syndrome, a rare genetic cancer. Four of the six members of the family have the disease, from which only around 2000 people in the UK suffer, and for which at present there is no cure.
The family set up fundraising and support organisation Tantara's Wish in 2003, having now raised over £20,000 towards research at The University of Birmingham Genetics Department, and is also working towards raising awareness so that the medical profession can have more access to information and a greater possibility of an early diagnosis.
