Dire, Dire, Dire. Shows a total lack of understanding of cars and restorations. Bodged beyond belief, and the whole 'deadline' thing - yawn. We have to get it done in a week because the valuer's coming. Well, call him and tell him to come back in a year.........
the only reason for angle grinder was to create a surface to fill to its a flap sanding disc not a grinding disc, you strip paint off with paint stripper but most affective way is a acid dip but thats time and money. quick easy botch is a flap sander. love to see them do this for a living bankrupt in a month. try building heritage restorations, men from boys.
Not really serious show about restoration, no real detail of work done and a few bodges along the way, but was still entertaining to watch. Think the damage when reversing was staged though, looking forward to one on the Mini Cooper as I have restored one of these and currently doing an early 850 mini,
Very impressed the way RM value the jag, no look underneath no check on oil pressure etc etc, £30k for a left hooker, automatic, quick look at the engine compartment ! Maybe he spotted the second hand exhaust ? Wonder how much second hand rubbish went into this import.? Just love the way they stripped paint off with an angle grinder and gave the metal a nice coat of filler to try and get the panels straight! Was this really a serious program on restoration? No just a program for "aerosol Bill"!!!
Should change the show name to How to bodge a classic. An angle grinder to remove paint was the only thing classic about this show apart from getting bits out of a skip
This was a restoration? This was a quick bodge up ! I shudder to think of what professional quality restoration companies are saying about this back street garage! I just loved the second hand exhaust pulled out of the scrap pile
(a pile bigger than mouth of the so called presenter) this program was an insult to the professional classic car restorers !
How can these guys run a business with no labour or overhead cost ,it is an insult to proper companies who do restoration for a living ,in the real world you could not achieve this for double the cost of restoration, and you will struggle to sell the car with this spec 2+2 auto /lhd sun roof, wrong ratio back axle and wrong carbs for the uk and blacked out underbonnet paint .

Please! The programme was clearly intended to be 100% fantasy/comedy. Cut them some slack, will you...

Foot note to earlier comment. Jaguar pink was listed as Heather, Uncle had one, lucky enough later to have 75 drophead in black, last of the few.
