Utter rubbish, has the potential to be an interesting programe if you had presenters who knew anything about classic cars . A mint Porsche 911 1977 model is worth around £16,000 - 00 a bodge up like that maybe £8,000
the presenters should stick to baking
the whole episode is rubbish, gives the entire car restoration and classic car scene a complete false illusion by having people (so called) restoring a car, this is NOT car restoration, in fact these people are destroying a perfectily good car into absolute rubbish. I have now stopped watching after 1.5 hours
This show is complete nonsense. The e-type episode the restoration costs were ridiculous and misleading- £7k?! maybe in 1985. The joke valuation at the end of the show - £30k for a 2+2 left hand drive etype full of filler with halfords sunroof and nasty vinyl interior retrim. It's becoming clear why they give the cars away at the end of each week.
So I've watched 2 of these restos now and I think the programme is very misleading and gives a false picture of classic car ownership and the costs involved (I own 2 60s classics). They had circa 5 guys working on the Porker for 3 weeks so if they were charging say £40 per hour (which is cheap nowadays) there's £21k in labour costs before you even think about parts/paint/overtime etc. So where they got the £7k total resto cost from is beyond me. To me it was pure fiction.
handling in a k reg porsche is he kidding, there is no handling they were known for being tail happy because the engine was too far out over the rear creating a pendulum affect, where the hell you get this guy from, he's being in this classic game since he was a kid ha stick to your matchbox cars you played with you know naff about classic cars. and where a seat belt we'd have a fine and points if we refuse to wear ours

Why aren't they wearing their safety belts? Surely that's illegal?
