I looked for a plumber who was local with phone and address.
I thought ok has put his name and number down must be a honest person. lol, he turned out to be another one who ripps people. No written quote no mentio of how much it would cost. Turns out he wants nearly £2000 for a small bathroom, flooring putting wooden tonge and groove, he has flapped around for a week, not put the bath back on, tells me it cost £1300 for materials, which material. When questioned did not like it. Wants more money upfront, already gave £500 told him will pay the rest on competion. Tells me he is out of pocket, I wonder what for. Cannot trust anyone these days.
Recently, I had a cowboy builder called Tom Barron from Sutton coldfield, west midlands ,who did really terrible poor quality job for me! His wor is, worse than any cowboy builder in the programms. . he cutting conners, made my house to a dangerous building. He took £32000 from me, only did about £12000 job, which nothing finished.,The most of things he did, has to be taken off to rebuild. I found this is not his first time done this kind of terrible job, why council or trading standard, nobody can do anything thing to him? I am not the last victim,I am sure there will be many in the future...How can other people avoid cowboybuilders??. how can this world is so unfair???? who can help us now ? ???

Our cowboy builder said it would cost £16,000 to build a gym outside in the garden. He took £8000 in 3 weeks for labour and materials and never turned up after that.. The only thing he did in 3 weeks was digging and laying the foundation thats it. They also installed a shower and toilet in the house which leaks and left electrical wires dangling about. Never heard of them again.
me too i searched for the competition i cant find it i text 2 times they sayd 3 time its free i try to text the 3 time the message failed it is tru this competation
me too, seems odd to flash the compo on the show for 30 secs when you have no pen handy - but then have no details on the website, or if its there its certainly buried deep
As a builder myself I watch Cowboy Builders with interest. I have personal experience of seemingly intelligent people wanting to avoid Building Control fees. I avoid people wanting CHEAP like the plague.
I've been working at old leake and would love too meet this woman. Given what shes done it must take alot to go on tv and be ripped by Dom but on the other hand where is building control? Don't they check drains roofs Walls etc? There wool is well rough though!!!!
