When are you going to put this video on? You seem to put the other ones on in sort of good time but what the hell is going on with this one. Been waiting for along time if you can't put it on please say you can't but don't leave people hanging around if you can't show it on demand 5. Thank you.

I am actually thinking of creating a group on facebook so we can all show our frustration toward Channal 5 and maybe once it gets big and a few thousand people sign up to it the people in charge of this farce "Channel 5" may actually start listening to us !!! This is pretty shoddy service i can understand that sometimes things happen which can slow things down or even things go legal which prevent the show from being shown but at least keep your viewers updated with the status of this problem, its no good just getting a moderator to write "This episode of Cowboy Builders has been delayed due to re-editing. Apologies to all those eager to see it." 10 days ago, why not give us an update, how is the editing going ? when should we check back to watch this ? ... Im getting to the point where i wont bother using this website any more as it really does appear that no one cares, WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ????????

I agree with David, there are too many bad customers out there who try to get more work done for the same money, if the builder refuses then shows like this try to make them out to be cowboys. They say they present it in a balanced way but the very name of the show rules any fairness out for a start. Even if any of the builders in the show didnt seem too bad they will still be tainted with the term cowboy builder because of the attachment to this show. How about a bit of fairness Channel 5?

David/Cliff - You tell my three young children who have had to wake up every morning for 18 months in a crumbling house, thats its one sided and we are fools. I can only hope that one day you are not left like this and if you are people help you to rebuild your lives !!!!!!!!!!!

David
Cliff - You are a fool. You tried to weasel out of paying contractors. These programs are always made to be one sided to keep the audience entertained. Its a lot of nonsense.

jennie. we payed 4 each stage of the work in full. the tradesmen then walk away cos they avent been paid leaving us with a dangerous shell of a building. then they ask 4 full payment be4 they come back and finish the work which was condemned by our building inspector.

Jennie
I agree with Holly Kiedly. The Cowboy Builders always show how bad tradesmen are, never expose the clients who didn't pay. Furthermore, may people out there asking for huge amount of work done for very little. If contract signed with stage payment, the builder is right to stop if customers refused to pay..

And SK is the crimanal the publics opinion makes me sick! I THINK I SHOULD JUST SIGN ON AND COST THE DECENT PEOPLE OF ENGLAND ALOT OF MONEY!!

OMG this show is good keep up the good work guys. These people are so good at convincing people of their excellent professionalism and builders yet again given a bad name but it needs to be done as there are plenty of gullible people around and taken in by these unscrupulous operators.

H Its such a shame comments are posted like to two above. It is not always a case of not being able to afford to pay for the extensions but being left with hardly any money and a potentially crumbling house. It is hard enough when couples are left in live threatening situations but when children are having to live with this mess as well its hard breaking. I think channel 5 not only highlight these conmen but also change lives. I can only hope that they never have to experience waking up every morning having to face this anguish !!!!!!!!!

If people didn't use them, they wouldn't exist. All the ones featured on this and similar programs would not have stood up to the most basic scrutiny. I agree that instead of rewarding those trying to cut corners (e.g. 'cash payers') the show should focus on how to avoid the cowboys. I suppose this wouldn't make good telly though. Maybe I should hire a shady tax dodging builder employing unqualified labour and when they make a mess Channel 5 will come and do the job properly for free.

I diasgree. I think the programme does a good job at highlighting these rip off companies. You can't simply blame the consumer for employing them. Often these companies use fake images, customer comments and contact detials on their websites. It isn't always that easy to tell whether they are cowboys or not particularly when you don't work in that sector. It isn't always about the consumer going for a cheap quote. They have just been sucked in by fraudsters. Finally often it isn't just the consumer who is ripped off. There are genuine skilled workmen who complete work for these companies who then do not receive payment from them. I believe the programme should highlight this if it does not already.
Jon
All this program does is reward people who employ cheap labour, without bothering to check whether they are qualified. The reward for supporting the non-taxpaying and unqualified workmen is a fantastic job completed at other's expense. Hardly a good example to set. Don't watch this program as it simply perpetuates the problem. If you can't afford a reputable builder - you can't afford the extension.
