Haha Sir Geoffrey is spot on. No chance this poor England team would have lost this series 4-0 if we had played 5, Strauss is clueless and his current batting form does not justify a place in the team

I just want to echo what L McCarth said. As an England supporter I went out to Lords on the final day to watch a good day of cricket and got one. I'm so glad England chose to go down fighting rather than just try to draw the match as Boycott was advocating.

What a pity that there are not two more Tests to come (5 match series instead of 3). I don't say that because I am English and want my team to have a chance to level the series, but because this was a Test series between the 2 top countries and it was a gripping contest, cricket at its finest. Now the SA tour continues but all we have to look forward to is a series of one-day limited overs games which are no more than exhibition and circus games. And at the end of those it will be solemnly announced that one side (probably SA) have won the "trophy", which is no more than a Comic Cuts Cup. While we could have had two more Test matches!! What a tragedy.

Thanks for the great coverage Channel 5. Good fight in the end by England but the best team won in the end. Well done Proteas!

Mr. Boycott embodies everything that is wrong with English cricket (in the past.) Geoff, they didn't go for a draw, they went to win. What a remarkable day! Far better going down fighting than playing for a draw. The team should be very proud.

I'm very happy. It's about midnight and the highlights are available. Good job Channel 5.

Please don't give details in your comments about the actual play as it can spoil things for some viewers. Yesterday (day four) Philander commented on wickets being taken which told me too much about the state of play at the end of the day. Also, Frederick Robinson (on day two) names two batsmen and the bowler who took their wickets. Please don't do this.

A suggestion: go to bed early and get up early to watch the highlights. There is little value in complaining about something that is going to happen. Put your energies into trying to change things that really matters. The timing of a free catch-up service should be very low on life's priorities. (Although maybe not as low as me spending time to write this.)
