An arson and explosives expert, Horatio Caine left the bomb squad to take over the CSI labs.
He is a tireless crusader for what he views as 'his city', spending his free time poring over scientific articles to better understand the criminal mind. Without a family or intimate relationship of his own, he was long haunted by the death of his brother, a Miami-Dade narcotics officer who was abusing crystal meth at the time of his 'murder'.
A three-dimensional thinker, Horatio is more comfortable on a crime scene than in the lab. His catch phrase is, 'We never close.'

David is perfect in the role of Horatio!! *-* But........CBS has decided to cancel the series!! T__T To many production costs!... They say that the cause is the decline in audience... But it is normal if you move the airing from Monday to Sunday! -.-"" We fans can and MUST help Horatio!! Many petitions have been initiated.
