Jo Danville

A former FBI forensic investigator, Jo Danville’s unorthodox methodology emphasises psychology first.

Sela Ward as Jo Danville in CSI: New York

Played by Sela Ward

Season 7 - present

As an FBI forensic investigator, Jo Danville's personal and professional integrity resulted in the acquittal of a rapist, whose victim was a Senator’s daughter. Due to the subsequent political fallout, her continued work in D.C. became impossible, sending her to join Detective Mac Taylor’s forensics team in New York City.

Jo’s unorthodox methodology emphasises psychology first, forensics second. Jo is always the one to question whether science is infallible, seeking a second opinion or a different angle. She has immense empathy for the victim but also secretly wishes she could be proving everyone’s innocence.

Stella actually got a job in New Orleans Crime lab. Didn't like her anyway, always playing with her little pinky and her arms flailing like windmills everywhere. Now to get rid of Lindsay then the show will have a perfect cast! Sela Ward is excellent.

I know Stella got a new job etc and that she sent a letter to Lindsay, but how come they don't TALK about her AT all ? Nothing about her. And I don't like that Jo. Smarmy, as if she owns the place!

Ok Stella was good but Jo's in a whole new league, Sela Ward is extremely dashing she's got a sultry air about her, I hope Jo's not just a one series wonder.
