Celeb guest who?

Following on from the celeb fest that was CSI: NY's 100th episode, check out our recap of the big names who've joined the dark side to give Mac and the team the runaround as serial killers, career criminals...and themselves.

Kid Rock as himself

Mac and the team investigate a case of sex, death and rock 'n' roll as the murder of a limo driver puts them backstage at a Kid Rock concert. The star falls under the spotlight as the CSIs Google their way towards a motive, only for the usual round of magic lab work to reveal that some groupies will kill for their five minutes of fame - and an All Access pass.

Edward Furlong as Shane Casey

Former teen pin-up Edward Furlong - best known for his role as John Connor in Terminator 2 - becomes the focus of a grisly whodunit as serial slasher Shane Casey, a man on a mission to dispense with anyone connected to the so-called wrongful imprisonment of his late brother. Custom-made t-shirts placed on the vics' bodies help the team unlock the mystery, but not before Shane's escape from custody allows him to deliver one final act of revenge: framing Hawkes for murder.

Nelly Furtado as Ava Brandt

Whoa, Nelly! She won't make you buy cars or cut cards, but as professional stickyfingers Ava Brandt she will certainly steal to order. When the security guard of a high-end store is murdered, the personal shoplifter tops the charts as prime suspect. Fifth Avenue gets a chance to restock when she's hauled in for questioning, and ultimately proved a thief and not a killer.

John McEnroe as himself

You cannot be serious! Mac and the team score courtside seats to a murder most foul when a groom-to-be is found dead in a nightclub. Witness statements and blood on the dance floor point to Johnny Mac serving up a killer, until Danny uncovers a dodgy phlebotomist peddling the ultimate in celeb souvenirs. A vial of the red stuff just happens to have found its place on the keyring of superfan Jimmy Nelson, a dead ringer with a nose for cold-blooded crime.

Kerr Smith as Drew Bedford

Mac finds himself up the creek when Stella's not-so-secret admirer Drew Bedford is revealed as the 333 stalker - an unwelcome blast from the past who fancies himself as the next talking clock. The unbreakable CSI uses his special forces training to wriggle his way out a tight spot, leaving his unlucky-in-love colleague to continue the hunt for a man whose romantic MO isn't wine, dine, murder.

Nelly as Terrence Davis

The NYPD take a trip to Nellyville and find an unlikely friend in Terrence Davis, a reformed con who made a name for himself as a baggage handler before his import/export business earned him a five-year holiday in Rikers. After being linked to the gun used in the murder of an air marshal, the club owner strikes a deal to work off his time as a confidential informant.

Chris Daughtry, Rumer Willis and Scott Wolf as Mac Taylor

There may only be one Stella Bonasera, but the name Mac is big in NYC. Singer-songwriter Chris Daughtry, Hollywood starlet Rumer Willis and Scott Wolf of Party of Five fame celebrate CSI: NY's 100th episode with guest roles as three of Mac Taylor's namesakes when the CSIs chase a suspect murdering his way through the phonebook in search of one very specific victim.
