Alex Rice is one tough FBI agent. She's smart, beautiful and can hold her own against even the slimiest of criminals. She now heads up the joint undercover task force between the FBI and the Los Angeles police department, a reality that doesn't sit very well with Carter. To make matters even more complicated, she and Carter share a volatile chemistry. By the end of their first case, they could end up either shooting each other or sleeping together. As a woman, Alex is particularly protective of Jaimie and worries that she is taking the same risks Alex did a long time ago — risks, she learned, that should never be taken.
