thought this was such a neat little episode wanted to watch it again with my mum cos she might like it too - sadly we watched the ads only to be faced with a stuck blank screen at the end - same happened on second attempt - thanks for more wasted time (I know your customer service dept says you are aware of problem, but just saying) :(
Dear Demand 5. I am leaving you. When the current run of Once Upon a Time, Fear Itself and Big Brother are over, I am never coming back to C5 On Demand. I have just spent half an hour trying to get this to work, on two different computers, on a perfectly good internet connection. During that half hour I was able to run a youtube clip and two BBC iPlayer programmes perfectly well. I was even able to fast forward to various points in the programme on the iPlayer (a function your service seems unable to cope with lately). I have only managed to watch the adverts (3 times now) and the first couple of minutes of this show (with it sticking every few seconds), and thIs is not how I wanted to wind down this evening. Your Big Brother webpage is no better, with clips constantly sticking. I do not like how an advert pops up where a link to Demand 5 was when the C5 page first opens, causing eager clickers to click on an advert they didn't want. I have not liked C5's handling (or lack thereof) of the bullying on Big Brother this year and am only sticking around there to help argue for a nice person to win.
All-in-all, as you should have gathered, I am really dissatisfied with C5 On Demand. I know the service is free but that does not mean it should be rubbish. I don't pay for iPlayer, and that runs fine. If you are going to run a service like this, it should run. I know it's not just me, as I constantly see complaints about sticking, buffering, and only being able to watch the adverts on these comment threads.
I completed a survey a couple of months back and felt C5 On Demand was a good service. I no longer feel this way, as the service has been appalling this last month.
Some people have suggested it is the way you stream programmes. Can you fix this?
Well, I had hoped to wind down this evening watching this entertaining show, but sadly have resorted to writing to you instead. I sincerely hope you will at least listen to the comments of countless visitors to the site asking for improvements to how you upload the shows.
Sadly and with frustration
