Weak anti-cannabis propoganda. Drug prohibition is a waste of tax-payers money and police time. Most people who use alcohol and drugs are responsible recreational users. Those who develop addictions need treatment not criminalisation. Decades of kicking people's doors in for a bag of cannabis has not stopped people from using it. This programme does not contribute to the discussion, it only glamourises smashing doors in. Rav Wilding is an ignorant media monkey.

Not a bad program, but they REALLY don't need the ridiculous music, nor to they need this Rav Wilding guy, who basically repeats what's just been explained... bit pointless....

I have seen a lot of comments directed against the police and government who keep you safe, it is a valued necessary service which you shouldn't be complaining about. As for the pro cannabis crowd, you all haven't had friends or family members who have lost their minds or cognitive functionality, which makes you under-qualified to preach about the lack of danger Cannabis causes, science is not on your site. I'm going to leave this site before someone says, "guns don't kill people" I have no time for clueless ungrateful people.

I'm glad to see my original comment sparking a good debate. You will be surprised to know Rich, that I do not use Cannabis. I believe I'm a net contributor to society as a graduate with my own business. What I want to see if a rational approach to Cannabis in this country so my tax can be better spent improving society. That fact you refer to Cannabis users getting a 'fix' is preposterous. Cannabis is not *physically* addictive. Caffeine in coffee is. Don't take my word for it, do your own research and don't believe what you read in the tabloids!

@ Rich - 3 answers, for your 3 questions. 1. "Just cos it is seen as a lesser crime, does not mean that the police can just ignore it " - actually, that is EXACTLY how it works, the Police operate on a PRIORITY system, when calls come in they get prioritized and lower priority situations get reshuffled to the bottom. 2. You think stoned people break into houses to steal £10 of things to buy weed? .. ok ... let me tell you that in my 4 years of working at the Plymouth Magistrates I have NEVER encountered a case like that. I put it to you to find 1 case and link the url. 3. If it was not against the law, then the Police, as you say, wouldn't need to spend so much money stamping it out. You kind of answered this one yourself .. oh, and the extra money from NOT being spent on it, prisons, wages, time, buildings, taxes, jobs, industries, exports, imports, increase in consumer spending due to decrease of costs due to legalization ... and there's so much more, when it comes to the UNIVERSAL money making from cannabis, its HUGE. Atm, it all gets funneled into just a small amounts of peoples pockets (yay, prohibition). Joel Dalais Criminologist CLEAR Party Member

Rich, you obviously know nothing of cannabis apart from what the media show you. No one steals to buy cannabis, if a cannabis user is forced to steal, its because they are being threatened by their dealer which is a direct result of prohibition. Yes cannabis is illegal but not because its harmful. Going after small personal grow ops, or even large ones wont make a difference to the demand. Only because its illegal doesnt mean it goes away. The demand for cannabis has been there for over 10,000 years. Want to see a reduction in associated crime and dealers on the street? We need to bring cannabis into a regulated market. oh by the way im not a cannabis user, but i do know the dangers of prohibition, maybe you should do some research mate.

It's not hard to guess who the weed smokers are. Get over yourselves guys. How were the police supposed to know how much drugs were on the premises? And as for the murders comment - police wouldnt be taken away from all those henous crimes if it wasn't for drug dealers or traffic offenders. Just cos it is seen as a lesser crime, does not mean that the police can just ignore it. All the crimes that are directly connected to people after their next 'fix'. How would you like it if somebody broke into your house to steal from you so they can afford their next bag? If they didnt break the law, the police wouldnt have to spend so much money trying to stamp it out!

Thanks for highlighting how brutal the police can be (throughout) and how stupidly the peoples taxes are getting spent... wow, £10 of weed .. for the whole force. excellent use of police time and tax payers money (all the court costs also)! Easily looking at £5,000+ to cover the wages for all involved. Rapists/Murderers/Bank fraud bosses, etc, criminals must be shaking in their boots ..

how ignorant and naive can our government and police be? regulate is the answer! put the criminals out of business! create money for the country and create jobs! it seems recently proven that the only thing bad it does to people is give them a criminal record. medicate and regulate; start saving lives!!!!

he referred to cannabis as toxic which isn't true cannabis is 100% non-Toxic and 100% safe for mature brains and those chemical suits where extremely unnessasery, and i personally thought the police in the video were very heavy handed.

Cannabis isnt illegal because its harmful, otherwise alcohol and tobacco would be class A drugs. Its illegal because of personal prejudices, greed, cowardice, vested interested and the money prohibition makes. Nothing to do with science, expert advice, real evidence or our health. Prohibiting cannabis simply gifts criminals the market for them to control, causing far more harm than the weed itself.

This programme is great as it demonstrates exactly why Cannabis is illegal.... it keeps a lot of frontline police officers in jobs and generates huge amounts of profit for companies who supply the tools of the trade, vans, cars, stab vests, cameras, battering rams, etc, etc. A prime example would be the raid on the house where a small amount of Cannabis was discovered by the occupants toilet. The cost of the raid to the tax payer would have been more than the Cannabis was valued on the black market before the Police had even left the station!!!
