This week, a team of specialist animal movers are trying to fly a pair of fearsome Silvertip sharks 10,000km from Australia to Dubai for a unique breeding programme. These sleek apex predators are powerful fish that have evolved to swim in the ocean, not to be confined in tanks. Keeping them alive on board the aircraft is a huge challenge.
This film follows the team as they construct special water tanks to keep these awesome fish alive en route. The journey will take 30 hours. It’s a race against time, as any delays could mean the air
inside the tanks could run out.
