As the hospital becomes the location for what Izzie is determined to call her honeymoon, Derek has had an idea about how he might remove her tumour. However, it is a technique that has never been used on a cancer patient, with severe memory loss as a possible side effect. Is Izzie truly prepared to take the risk?
Meanwhile, Owen, George and Callie are dealing with the strange case of Charlie, a young soldier whose debilitating leg pain is stopping him from rejoining his comrades in Iraq. Despite x-rays showing nothing of concern, he wants the medics to amputate then fit a prosthetic leg so that he can return to duty.
Charlie’s story gets Owen thinking about his unfinished business with the military and whether or not he wishes to return to the front line, but it is perhaps George who is most inspired: he decides that he wants to sign up and serve his country, immediately. True to his word, he enlists and is told to report for duty the following day.

we are missing an episode, where is the bus crash as "blurbed" on the synopsis. C5 yet again robs the Loyal viewer. Waited years, on in the middle of the night and then to cap it all there is a bit missing. Poor Poor Poor
