Ada Nicodemou welcomes a baby boy

Ada Nicodemou, who plays Summer Bay favourite Leah, shares her excitement following the birth of her son with husband Chrys Xipolitas.

For years she's been lighting up our screens as Summer Bay favourite Leah Patterson-Baker, but away from the cameras Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou has been busy settling in to a new role - as a mum.

Ada and husband Chrys Xipolitas welcomed the arrival of their son on 22 August. Baby Johnas was born at Sydney's St George Private Hospital and weighed in at a healthy 7lb 11oz.

Ada announced the news in Aussie mag New Idea, and is already besotted with the latest addition to the family: 'It was just instant love. I look at him and go, "Oh my God, I don't remember my life beforehand - I don't remember being pregnant!" It's like it began from that moment onwards. I'm totally in love.'

She adds, 'The best moment for me was hearing that first cry from Johnas. It was just so beautiful, I cried too. We're going to sound like typical parents, but he came out looking so gorgeous, perfect.'
