Home and Away has been announced as a nominee in the 2012 All About Soap Awards, and your vote could help some of your favourite stars romp home to victory.

Prepare to get voting! Neighbours and Home and Away have today been announced as nominees in the 2012 All About Soap Awards, and you could help your favourite Aussie soap and its stars romp home to victory.

Up for the title of Best Couple are Home and Away's Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) and Darryl 'Brax' Braxton (Steve Peacocke), facing competition from Coronation Street's Peter and Carla, and two nominees from EastEnders: Max and Tanya, and Zainab and Masood.

In a year of strong storylines for the hit Aussie soap, Home and Away has also scooped a nod for Best Mystery, for the 'Who attacked Bianca?' plot. Also nominated are EastEnders, for 'Who's stalking Phil?'; Emmerdale, for 'Who attacked Cain?'; and Hollyoaks, for 'Who's the father of Mercy's baby?'

Voting for the All About Soap awards opens online on Tuesday 14 February, and a postal form will also be available in the magazine's next issue. The poll closes on Monday 27 February, with the winners to be announced next month.
