Newcomer Jett to make waves in Summer Bay

With Summer Bay having over the years become a playground to wayward teens, newcomer Jett James - described as a delinquent with a lack of respect for authority and a knack for causing trouble - should fit right in when he hits UK screens later this month.
The character marks the first television role for 13-year-old actor Will McDonald, who's thrilled to be joining the cast. 'When I got the part, Mum and Dad called me downstairs and Dad told me the role was mine. I was speechless. I thought this had to be a dream; I was so excited I could not stop jumping around.'
Will has so far particularly enjoyed working with co-stars Shane Withington, Sonia Todd and David Jones-Roberts. 'The first day on set seemed so surreal,' he explains. 'I was surrounded by a great team of actors.'
Jett first appears on screen in Episode 5512, which airs in Australia on Tuesday and on Channel 5 on 29 May, when he'll '[waste] no time in ruffling a few feathers' - especially those of VJ Patterson.
