Winston and Chance are on their way to see Tony Bevilacqua, a mob boss who has threatened to torture and kill Chance if they ever cross paths again. Winston is understandably nervous about the meeting. However, Chance has a proposition for Bevilacqua – he needs $1.8million so he can ruin Bevilacqua’s rival Hugh Prentiss (Peter Wingfield, ‘24’, ‘Holby City’).

Chance’s current client, fighter Eddie Dunn, did not take the dive he was paid to take during a match, so Prentiss has put a contract on Dunn’s life. Chance aims to ruin Prentiss by entering a fighting tournament and making him place huge sums of money on the wrong fighter, thereby bankrupting him and nullifying the contract on Dunn’s life. Bevilacqua agrees to lend the money, but there is one problem – how will Chance be able to enter such an exclusive tournament?

Chance soon meets Eva Khan (Grace Park, ‘Hawaii Five-0’), Prentiss’s handicapper and confidant. Eva and Prentiss are inseparable, but Chance senses that Eva is unhappy with Prentiss’s violent methods. Chance becomes distracted by Eva’s plight, and soon makes it his priority to rescue the woman from Prentiss’s clutches.
