Bruin, Take it you've driven in India??? - Great show get the chance to see what other countries are like in terms of driving standards, or in Indias case, lack thereof. Think they should do the next season in Europe somewhere.

Awesome, Lisa is amazing. Having been to India and experienced the mayhem on the roads can only say they must be bloomin mad to even contemplate taking on these drivers on those tiny narrow roads. Can't wait for the rest of the series, Brilliant

Well! I thought I was a good driver, but after seeing these guys in India I have to say that these guys are superb and deserve all credit. And Lisa, if you read this I would feel that my message has got to you. I have the greatest admiration for, you are so good and lovely. The Holy man who blessed you most have known you are allready well blessed and thought youare worthy of many more blessings., and youare kind to animals...well blessed. Good luck and best wishes.

What wimps. Can't drive on the "wrong side of the road"; can't use a manual gear shift with the "wrong" hand; driving piddling little trucks on roads that are bit narrow. And these are America's finest. God help them if they come to Europe.

Well if Huw the polar bear drove like he does on the ice road I think his trip home might be in a bag. That is so scary. Respect to Alex. And good luck rick and lisa. I am a class 1 in the uk, oh and staying in the uk.....

Two words......Absolutely Insane. Are there no traffic laws in India ?. Wouldn't drive that road for a lottery win.

I suppose when you are used to meeting one truck a day in Canada the rest of the world comes as a shock. what a woosie giving up. Lisa, once she has sorted the gears will last the course.

Top Respect to Alex, it takes real guts to back down so publicly and he made the right decision, he has nothing to prove. Excellent viewing. Agree with Mushtaq, get Hugh Rowland in, he's an 'up for it' kind of bloke. Though I suspect Jack Jessee has nothing to prove either.

Great programme but really scary. I drove a 30 seater UK coach round India in the 60's including Delhi to Shimla and it was certainly challenging then but I am sure there is a lot more trafic now which makes it worse. There were always plenty of wrecks about. Also drove from UK to India and back when roads in Turkey, Iran and parts of Afghanistan were horrendous and we lost rear shock absorbers. I look forwad to future episodes but think Alex made the right decision. I salute the guts of Rick and Lisa, hope they come through it OK but wonder if they are not a little foolhardy.

I started driving trucks in India, Delhi since I was 16 in my uncles truck Tata 2515 similar looking to what rick and lisa are driving, looked nice but no safety lol I drove for 10 years, I live in the uk now, my brother still drives trucks in India. Normally when you crash you can drive off and they would never find you but because this is a tv show police showed up etc but normally police dont come unless the drivers start fighting and when they do show up they dont resolve anything they want money, corrupt police. The roads are very dangerous, 90% of drivers are stupid and do crazy overtaking, Ive had a few close calls with buses, I nearly went off a cliff in the rain, when it rains in india and your driving on them roads it is 100 times dangerous. Its a good program brings back memories yeh its abit crazy but its a adrenaline rush. I loved ice road truckers and I wish Rick (Parrot) and Lisa all the luck they will need it. They should have had Hugh "The Polar Bear'' Rowland and Jack Jessee aswell as these are the top 2 best skilled drivers.

As an international trucker driving RHD & Left hookers in EU & N Africa my heart went out to those drivers whose whole experience has been the wide open LHD spaces. They all did V.well but Parrot is the true pro , taking one prob at a time in his stride. I got three quarters thru & gave up completely exhausted! & I hitched in those old trucks from the North of India to the South & back when I was young. Driving in these countries is all a matter of understanding the culture. The old boy that jacked in had 38yrs of experience in Canada & that was his problem - no experience in third world. Good series. They havent changed the design of those trucks for 50 yrs.
