We join Amy as she is packing for a holiday trip to Dubai. Although it is not actually Amy who is doing most of the work – her mother Julie is the one cramming the bikinis, dresses and cosmetics into a bulging suitcase. Amy is more concerned about her security blanket, which goes everywhere with her, and which her mum is under strict instructions never to wash.
Accompanying Amy on her trip are manager Claire and minder Drew. A week of fun in the sun sees Amy enjoying a speedboat ride, practising her Arabic on the locals, putting her newly acquired horse riding skills to the test on a camel, taking to the dunes on a high-speed sand buggy, and even indulging in a bit of belly dancing. Meanwhile, good news arrives from the UK when Julie calls to tell Amy that the lease on her new beauty salon has been agreed.
Straight off the plane, Amy is back to work, making a personal appearance at a popular Essex nightclub. Her mum also has a surprise for her – in the form of a very girly bedroom makeover. Finally, Amy heads north. Accompanied by the hand-picked staff of her salon, she attends a beauty course on eyebrow plucking and debates how pink the sign for her new salon should be.
