The Knight Industries team rally together against overwhelming odds, with Carrie seriously injured after an explosion, and Mike trapped inside a speeding K.I.T.T. – which must travel above 100mph or a bomb in the boot will be triggered. Corrupt explosives expert Christopher Stevens is still holding UN Ambassador Olara Kumali hostage, and is demanding $1billion. If he doesn’t receive it, he will kill Olara and detonate a huge bomb, resulting in a crater with a 30-mile diameter. As Billy feverishly works to try to uncover Stevens’ ulterior motive, Alex Torres attempts to gather the funds that will appease the bomb expert.
Meanwhile, Sarah and Charles work together to try and figure out a way to save both Mike and K.I.T.T. from the bomb that they are carrying. Could airlifting K.I.T.T. be a solution? Elsewhere, Zoe watches over Carrie in hospital, and meets the mysterious and enigmatic Lawrence, who turns out to be Carrie’s father. When Carrie shows signs of recovery, she manages to scrawl the word ‘Valdor’ on a pad – a clue that could prove vital in finally bringing down an increasingly unpredictable Stevens.
