Find out why

When a man accused of rape is questioned, he claims the attack was pre-meditated and consensual, having been set up through a 'fantasy rape' website, and shows the detectives the specific instructions he received about the time and location.

Meanwhile, victim Pam Galliano denies that an online character on one such site is her, and when a study of her computer reveals sexual imagery, further investigations reveal that this might have been planted remotely - leading her to point the finger at her ex-boyfriend Tyler Brunson, who unbeknownst to her has recently moved into the apartment opposite.

Prompted by what happens in the resulting pre-trial hearing, Judge Koehler makes contact with Stabler for some assistance in solving a case that has haunted him for 30 years – the disappearance and murder of his son, Marshall. The serial killer Roy Lee Dotson was found guilty of Marshall’s murder, but he has never revealed the location of the boy’s body. Dotson now has little time to live as he is fights emphysema in a secure hospital - and Koehler wants answers before it's too late.
