Boasting a career record of 11 fights unbeaten, Kid Galahad defends his WBC International Bantamweight title against Josh Wale at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre in Sheffield.
Chris Eubank Jr is also back in action, facing Harry Matthews.
where is embank jr fight?????? anyone know where to find it seeing as though these couldn't be bothered with the more interesting of the two fights? who wants to watch this poor whale just get battered for 12 rounds? when kid fights malony, frampton or quig let me know
I was watching only for Eubank Jr! This is a joke. Eubank needs to sign with golden boy, arum, HBO or showtime where they will actually show him and allow him to be p4p1 as he matures.
What is going on with Channel 5 EPG description?
It says:
Live Boxing: Kid Galahad V Josh Wale
Live Boxing coverage. Murilo 'Ninja' Rua takes on Tom 'Kong' Watson from southhampton in the BAMMA World Middleweight Championship at Wembley Arena.
...umm, wrong inforamtion there, as BAMMA is next week...
Judging from past C5 shows, any chance of seeing Lynes-Witter will probably depend on how long the Galahad-Wale fight lasts. It would be a real shame to miss it.
Despite Witter's problems, Lynes-Witter is still a very interesting fight. Witter is definitely in last chance saloon, and Colin Lynes became the oldest British welterweight champion in a gripping fight against Lee Purdy last November.
If Channel 5 only have schedule space to show one fight plus highlights, they should consider showing extended coverage elsewhere, say on 5* - there are ten fights on this card tonight, and some of these undercard fights look good too!
Channel 5 have a real chance to carve themselves a niche with decent domestic boxing like this.
I totally agree with all posts so far, Colin Lynes Vs. Junior Witter is the fight that should be live. If Witter doesn't win tonight, he should retire. Hopefully Galahad Vs. Wale will be over within 1 round, and we'll get to see some undercard action.
Thanks again for bringing us live boxing action, even if it's not the fight us boxing fans want to see.
I think everyones forgotten Witter's poor display in Prize fighter. He was brilliant in his day-but unfortunately it has passed. Let the new kids on the block have the chance to shine and show off there skills!!

I totally agree, the Lynes-Witter fight is undoubtedly the most interesting fight on the card. It really does merit being shown in full.

If lynes-witter is not show on TV then CH5 should just stop showing boxing as they clearly have no clue!!!

I think the Lynes-Witter fight for British Welterweight Title should get a viewing. Likely to be a great match up.
