Madventures

Tunna Milonoff

The man behind the camera capturing the bizarre globe-trotting antics.

Tunna in Brazil

Tunna Milonoff is the director and the cinematographer of the show, but it is his twisted imagination and curiosity towards everything bizarre that is usually to blame for the often-unorthodox topics of the Madventures series. There are no aspects of the show in which Tunna, the perfectionist of the pair, doesn’t get involved.

Brought up in the backstage of one of the most respected theatres in Finland, Tunna had acted as a kid but always felt his place was behind the camera. After abandoning his studies of cultural anthropology, Tunna spent years exploring Europe and Asia with his backpack and his camera. He then made a 5-year career as a gaffer in several feature films, popular TV-series and hundreds of TV-commercials and music videos.

Known as a director with a fresh, in-your-face approach and rough-edged, yet beautiful visuals, Tunna has received several awards for his original vision. These include the Finnish Emmy Awards for Best Show in 2009 and 2010, Best Entertainment Show in 2006 and two Finnish Media & Message awards in 2005.

Besides many Madventures-related projects, Tunna co-directed Gimmeyawallet’s first film project, Monte Rosso, a 38 minute short which was funded by the Finnish Film Fund and the National Broadcasting Company, and released on TV and in theatres in 2008.
