I am In awe of the surgeons and people who make the prosthesis for their patients who have been through so much. They give them hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. This has been a truly fascinating and humbling series and it moves me to tears every week. I hope it helps us to appreciate our health and not to worry about the small stuff.

After hearing about this from a friend, I must say I am finding this series quite fascinating! I mean just seeing the in and outs , not to mention the effort, of bringing a sense of normality back to someone's life after such a dramatic turn of events :L But alas I must add I am going to have to go and watch this on my digital box downstairs (not going to say names in the fear of making it look like I am advertising) as I am struggling to watch this with my bad connection XD

Terrific programme. Fantastic work done by amazing people. Thought provoking and humbling to be allowed into the lives of these patients, the strength and courage each has shown on their journey is truely inspiring. Thank you.

Ive just caught a bit of the third episode. im so pleased a show like this is on. I've had a lot of reconstructive surgery, including a nose built from a piece of my rib. I wish I could watch a show which featured my surgeons from Princess Alexandra hospitalin Harlow and Charing Cross hospital in London. What a team, they gave me a face and a life. Genius.

What a wonderful programme, not only does it show the amazing work done in this field but it give's you an insight into how your life can be changed in so many ways through illness/injury etc. I also think it will allow so many more people to seek such services and to also understand what a person with any form of visible disfigurement goes though.

I too have had my nose removed in jan 2010 due to cancer and have experienced many of the same feelings that anna describes and would love to know if there is any way that i could contact her so we could support each other please give her my e mail address if she feels she would like to contact me . I thought the programme was amazing in making people aware of the psychological difficulties that people experience when they need a prosthesis

I have had an interest in prosthetics in the film industry for many years and the skills it takes to create them, this series is fascinating and very touching just by the very nature of the life changing difference it can make to someone. Its a totally positive and gratifying gift that the technician can give to the patients. Thank you for airing this fabulous look into peoples lives

I have also had to have re constructive surgery to my face and think Anna is extremely brave. Her new nose is fantastic and I certainly would not realise that it is prosthetic. Keep strong Anna you are a very attractive and inspiring woman and your nose really does look great.

I'm aware the ground breaking work of surgeons at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC) based at City Hospital in Birmingham is also featured in this series. Should be fascinating and very moving viewing.

This is a very timely programme as my mum is due to under go an operation ( on 25/09/12) to remove nose due to cancer. We hope this will give her and the family an insight into what is going to happen and the light at the end of the tunnel.
