This week we meet Diana, who has waited a long time to have a prosthetic to cover one side of her face. Will she be able to accept it, having become accustomed to wearing a patch for years?
Holly is a young patient who has grown out of her prosthetic eye and is looking forward to getting a new one.
Following cancer treatment, Andrew's jaw is being rebuilt with bone from his leg, cut to a template made by the prosthetic department.
We also meet Thomas, who lost his ear after being assaulted. The programme follows the process as he is fitted with a prosthetic replacement.
The team create a new jaw using bone from a patient's arm.

Wow, your work is an inspiration, this had made me want to become a prosthetic surgeon. The program is amazing.
Steve, Stefan and Jim - I take my hat off to you. Your dedication, skills an extreme patience make enormous improvements to people's lives. Thank you.
The skills and patience of the prosthetic artists and the bravery and strength of character of their clients is very inspiring. An excellent programme.

These surgeons are just amazing, what a fantastic programme! Pity we don't appreciate to the full just exactly how much we owe them. My greatest admiration......
this is a brilliant programme, but the adverts jump in in the worst places, in the middle of sentences etc. Also the video skips forward at points. Annoying.
Great programme highlighting the normally unseen work of Maxillo facial prosthetists and technologists. Well done Steve, his team and fantastic patients
very humbling. what an amazing programme. Good luck to everyone involved.
You have to give it a go Harriet and look forward - never say no to anything! (Holly's mum in the programme)
Interesting programme...upsetting but interesting. I'm in a similar position where I will be having my eye removed and a new eye made. My eyelids are very scarred from an accident so watching this gives me hope i will look 'normal' again, although i know I will never look the same its great to see what these great surgeons can do.
