It only seems to happen with NCIS, can watch CSI ok, and the adverts always run ok. Sort it out NOW.

Oh please stop with the negative waves. People do love complaining don't they. I would just like to say that channel 5 have a fantastic site here, and if people are having problems, maybe try downloading a different browser or clear your cookies. I used to have problems with both IE and Firefox, but since moving to Google Chrome, I have never had a problem watching anything. No stopping, freezing, jumping or anything else. If not already using GC, then maybe try it and see if it improves things. As for the adverts, it's a commercial station - that's how it makes its' money. Adverts are therefore a fact of life on a commercial station so please get over it and stop moaning about it.

I have read the complaints yet again, and the reason that I did so was because I can't watch NCIS, again. I note that you have a few people who are idiotic enough to say that it is a free service and that you should get away with it because of that, however, you are a business, and you are not free, you still have not fixed this problem. Can you tell me why you don't want to?

madpommie: judging by the comments it is not "some" users who have problems, it is clearly the majority. I have all of the things you mention and always have problems on here, yet I can stream BBC, C4 and ITV just fine. Yet Demand 5 are the only provider who cannot provide a service which is accessable (ie worrks) for the majority of users.

Would just like to say this works fine for me every time. I do have some problems if I am running a different program or checking my facebook in another window, more than with other channels catchup services so maybe demand five is a higher bandwidth service but if I just have the demand five window open everything works brilliantly. I dont think the problem is with the site ppl otherwise we would all be experiencing it!!!

It's not surprising the website's this bad... The bloody TV channel isn't much better... Having to "bid" for drivel (Big Brother) just shows this channel has really hit rock bottom.... HELLO OFCOM, are you listening to this???

I keep hoping that you will do something about the fact that your web site does not work. You don't, so I expect that you never will. I have posted a lot of complaints, as I can see had everybody else, so why not just fix it. Still freezing!

There are several reasons why these programs freeze for some people; Is your flash version up to date? Is your browser up to date? Have you run an antivirus scan recently (if not why not) Are you running another program in the background, possibly a memory-hungry one? Is your PC/Laptop really old? These are just a few things to look into first (before blaming Demand5) Just be thankful for two things: 1) this is a free service that they don't have to provide; 2) that this is 2012 not 1982 when no-one had a PC, mobiles were the size and weight of a brick and the internet did not exist. Grow up people

I have found that watching catch up on Channels 4 and 5 don;t freeze at all when viewed through Internet Explorer, but when I use my ISP provider they do. Hope this helps.

@ MJC I think people should stop complaining. Channel 5 and it's co channels have set up a service so we can watch missed programmes, not whine about adverts. I'd rather sit in front of my laptop and actually watch the programme than sit there slagging 5 off. Get a life. Some channels don't have catch up so we are lucky to be able to watch our beloved TV online. I thank Channel 5 for setting up this website. I rarely complain about the service channel 5 have here on demand...even though i have been using it since well, day one!! i do not have access to a tv, so this is my only way of watching the many programmes i like. But in the last 6 months the programmes have constantly frozen, 1 second, 5 seconds, etc into the programme, which means constantly having to refresh or reload the site. My computer is up to date, and runs an OS of win 7, so should have no problems - but like everyone else, it becomes very frustrating, when a 40 mintue programme can turn into a 2 hr stop / start / stop / start. If you dont experience this then lucky you - but most of us do, which is why people complain. the previous website demand 5 had, ran with out a hitch, but this one has had nothing but problems, and they have been extremely slow in sorting it out. So DEMAND 5 - please, please, please, SORT IT OUT. It has got so bad that i now use an american website if i can not get demand 5 to work. And although i have to wait for the programme to download - i know it will run with out a hitch. As you can see 'maggiehopkins' posted a comment 7 days ago about the freezing of the programme - and it's still doing it!!!!!! Time to sort your lives out demand 5 - you are losing customers.. fast......

Hi, I'm not a computer nerd, so can someone explain to me why everytime I try to watch anything on Demand 5, The adverts play perfectly but the content, whichever programme I am trying to watch never loads?? It's not my broadband speed coz iplayer plays perfectly

Channel 5 - thanks for the post. I fully agree with Martha's post - it is not the end of the world if a programme is late in being uploaded. The problem is when we don't know what the situation is.

i wanted to come and watch this episode online as i missed it last night but its 'unavailable'! what is going on? i am sick of waiting for the episode to come on and for it to work! the programme freezes every 4 seconds and as much as i love the programme, i may be forced to not be able to see it anymore! this problem urgently needs to be sorted out NOW!!!!!

I am very disapointed and so should Wonga the sponsors of programs like NCIS. I have been watching the series on TV and due to transmission/signal work channel 5 signal/ mux is not available. Last week I watched the episode on Demand 5 but this week I was looking forward to watching it and now just a blank screen. Will Channel 5 be refunding its sponsors (Tesco Wonga etc ?)
