Readying himself for Summer’s reaction to his article, Chris is annoyed when it’s clear she hasn’t read it and remains oblivious to his frustrations. Quickly reaching boiling point, Chris confronts her and accuses her of being self-absorbed. Summer’s thrown by the attack and wonders if he has a point. But when Kyle assures her she has nothing to apologise for, Summer fights back at Chris. Stung, he retaliates by blaming her selfishness for her break-up with Andrew. With both reeling from the brutal honesty, will their friendship ever recover?

Unable to agree on a shared surname for the family, Toadie, Sonya and Callum test out a few hybrids. However, when Toadie sees the stress taking its toll on Sonya, he agrees to try out the Mitchell name – only for her to realise just how much being a Rebecchi truly means to him.

Keeping up a brave face at work, Jade’s confronted to learn Sonya plans to become a Rebecchi, urging her sister to remain independent and remain a Mitchell. However, when Sonya explains her desire to share Toadie’s name, Jade’s forced to confront what she’s lost – and realises just how much she really misses Kyle.

    Hi, Phil. Hi claire. yeah Phil why dont they just get married? Although I think I heard the cliche from Toady that marriage is "just a piece of paper" ,sometime, just like it will be a "piece of paper" saying they changed their names if that goes ahead, then!

    So... if Toadie and Sonya are going for "Rebecchi" rather than "Mitchell", why don't they just get married and make it official in every way? In marriage, the wife traditionally takes the husband's name, and that is what's effectively happening here. "Rebecchi" sounds like "Rebecca", which is a female name, and therefore surely sounds too sissy and girly for such a macho, manly character like Toadie. He is the typical masculine Aussie bloke, and yet he has such a girly surname? "Mitchell" might be more common, but at least everyone knows how to spell it!

    I like Toady and Sonya, they're 'alternative' without being stereotypical aggro anti-establishment types or OTT hippie. I think their jokiness and messing around teaches Callum to not be so precious about self-image and being cool. Summer would be a better character if they'd let her follow her dream of becoming a boxer like her hero Kostya Tszyu, maybe she'd be continuing the Neighbours tradition of female mechanic, too.

    Aidy, agree with all you say, the Summer journo job is just so lame and unbelievable, would she and and Susan really have so much time to "work" in coffee shops too?! Sonya Toadie and Callum are getting REALLY cringy and not looking forward to no doubt some crazy over the top storyline when the baby arrives!

    curly you are right! Cris was good to tell Summer how it is. its all about her. she wouldnt even have that job at the newspaper either, she has no qualifications at all and left school under a cloud after cheating in her exams. Toady, Callum and ew Sonja are so annoying.
