In The Green Room: Eve Morey

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Inner peace. We do look for the external things; however, it always comes back to what you feel inside, being present.

What is your greatest fear?
Not living my speak.

Which living person do you most admire?
My friends and family are a constant source of admiration and inspiration.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Worrying too much about what other people think.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?
An inability to see how their actions impact on other people.

What is your greatest extravagance?
Food. I love the whole experience of going to really nice restaurants, trying something new or choosing a favourite and see if it’s even better than the last one you tried.

What advice would you give Sonya?
That’s a hard one because I actually learn a lot from Sonya, although I would say to her to be careful what you say to to each other. Sometimes they’re a bit too familiar and what they say could be going too far. Chill a bit, guys.

What is your favourite journey?
When I traveled Eastern Europe by myself, I went to Poland and went to Auschwitz. I think that it’s important to connect with the rest of the world because we haven’t experienced anything like that here (Australia).

On what occasion do you lie?
To save someone’s feelings I guess, but I have to say, I really don’t like any form of lying.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
'Does that make sense?' It drives my mother crazy; she thinks I sound like my grandfather.

What is your greatest regret?
I don’t believe in regrets because you can’t change them and you’re not in the present.

When and where were you happiest?
I can’t think of one actual moment; however, I know I’m generally the happiest when I’m eating good food with good people and a glass of wine. I’m present. My boyfriend’s sister is a chef, and when she cooks, she is sensational and we all sit around together and we laugh and talk about it, and it epitomizes the romance of life.

What is your current state of mind?
I got myself into a bit of negative headspace recently, too much going on, but now I’m looking at things way more constructively.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I like to just get up when the alarm goes off. That would just affect so many things, and I wouldn’t be perpetually late for a start.

If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
Don’t sweat the small stuff.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Getting to the next day smiling

What is your most treasured possession?
My mind

What is your most marked characteristic?
I’m a bit of scatterbrain at times.

What do you most value in your friends?
Their openness and willingness to always improve and evolve.

What is that you most dislike?

If you come back as someone or something, what would it be?
Another human being, see what else I could do, maybe in a different way.

What is something that people would never guess about you?
I’m a massive sci-fi fan. Battlestar Galactica is my favourite, and something I admit is different, I like to come up with what someone would be as a dessert.

What is your motto?
May the force be with you.
