In The Green Room: James Mason
James Mason (aka Chris Pappas) shares his passion for sport, rules to live by and the reason why right now he couldn't be happier.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
For me, it’s being content with every aspect of your life.
What is your greatest fear?
Heights
Which living person do you most admire?
The Australian actor Eric Bana. I admire his journey, and the fact he is so grounded and also humble about his success.
What is the trait you most dislike in yourself?
I stress a bit about things.
What is the trait you most dislike in others?
Not being grateful
What is your greatest extravagance?
Definitely sport - equipment, clothes and tickets to events.
What advice would you give Chris?
Don’t hesitate; just go for it. I’ve done that in the past with relationships and I wish I had been braver.
What is your favourite journey?
When I was 16 and travelled with my family to England and Sweden. It really gave me a taste to explore the world more.
On what occasion do you lie?
When I want to keep something to myself
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
I’d like to be three inches taller.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Righto.
What is your greatest regret?
I injured my shoulder a few years ago playing sport, and I didn’t get it fixed. It still bothers me, but I’ve left it too late for treatment, and it’s something I’ll probably suffer with for the rest of my life.
When and where were you happiest?
Definitely now. I have a great family, girlfriend, friends and awesome job - hard to top that.
What is your current state of mind?
Slightly stressed because I have a few things to sort out but trying to calm myself.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Be more patient when driving.
If you could one thing about your family, what would it be?
They talked to each other more.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Getting the role of Chris Pappas on Neighbours.
What is your most treasured possession?
Before my grandfather passed away, he went on a trip to Darwin and bought an Aboriginal figurine for me. I look at it now and think of him.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Friendly
What do you most value in your friends?
Loyalty and those that put the effort into the friendship as much as I do
What is that you most dislike?
People who walk too slow and claim the footpath as their own.
If you come back as someone or something, what would it be?
A monkey
What is your motto?
Be interested. If you’re not, finish doing it and move onto something else; otherwise you’ll never give it your best.

All very interesting, not a bad interview either! (I wish I was two inches taller!) Is there anyone else who can answer these questions themselves, just as a little bit of fun?
