Alan supports Blue September with UK gig

With Alan Fletcher headed to UK shores to support Blue September, find out when and where you can see him performing live at a very special fundraising gig.

As Ramsay Street's dependable Dr Karl Kennedy he's no stranger to dishing out good advice, and now Neighbours star Alan Fletcher is once again hoping to inspire some positive lifestyle choices off screen, lending his support to awareness and fundraising initiative Blue September for the second year running.

Originally started in New Zealand in 2008, the campaign - which aims to encourage men and their families to 'Face Up' to all types of cancer that affect men - is now celebrated in Australia and the United States, and last year launched in the UK and Ireland.

This month Alan is jetting over to London to help promote the cause, and fans will be able to see him flexing his vocal cords when he performs live, supported by UK band Lucas, at Shepherd's Bush Walkabout on Thursday 27 September.

Entry is £5 on the door, with all profits going to Blue September UK. Doors open at 9pm, and the first 100 RSVPs on Facebook or by e-mail are being offered a meet and greet with Alan after the show.

Gosh, I hope you come to the outskirts of Manchester. I remember meeting you on the airport 'bus in Dubia travelling from Melbourne in 2008. You had been sitting in the seats behind mine in business class, I was on my way home from NZ
