Luke Pegler cast as Kyle's cousin

With a footy injury putting Chris Milligan on the sidelines, it’s been all systems go for the Neighbours script department to accommodate Kyle’s temporary absence from Ramsay Street – and, with one man down, what better excuse to introduce to Erinsborough a hunky new recruit?
Enter Luke Pegler, star of Aussie drama Special Rescue Ops, who answered an SOS from his agent to accept a six-week guest role as Kyle’s cousin Dane Canning.
Luke’s character will move into the share house on Ramsay Street, taking over Kyle’s room and board while he is away tending to his sick mother, and picks up a storyline which was already in place.
‘The show must go on,’ explains the show’s executive producer Susan Bower. ‘The beauty of Neighbours is we’re about families, so we can pull in a cousin or sibling in these very unusual situations.’
Luke, who began filming today, will be seen on-air in Australia from October and in the UK on Channel 5 the following month.

you should bring mark back. most of my family and friends hate the cliffhanger you left so you have to tell us something!!!!! you shouldnt get rid of mark. He was a great charactor. bring him back!!!!

@Soph96, exactly. It is pretty obvious he wasn't dead from the start. Toadie happeneing to walk into a conversation he wasn't supposed to, Hayes will have planned for him to hear. The fact that hours earlier Sophie called the station asking for Mark, hours later the news comes out Mark is 'dead'. Also if he was dead, his parents and friends would need to be told and Hayes told Toadie to keep it a secret. Mark's death will just be an internal thing at the police station, so his corrupt colleagues think he's dead. If Toadie hadn't of been there when the news came out, no one outside the station would have know. So there is no point in telling people something that isn't true and worrying them.

Mark isn't really dead, it's all a plan to keep him safe in witness protection to keep his enemies of his back. He's not really dead. Hopefully Scott will be back soon.
