Mal Kennedy's return to Ramsay Street has earned a nod for Best Comeback in the 2012 All About Soap Awards - and you can vote the moment your favourite.

Neighbours and Home and Away have today been announced as nominees in the 2012 All About Soap Awards, and you could help some of your favourite Aussie stars romp home to victory.

Looking back on a year that saw us get reacquainted with much-loved familiar faces - from Oliver and Carmella's short but sweet trip to Erinsborough, to an eagerly anticipated visit from Harold Bishop - it's Mal Kennedy's return that has earned a nomination for Best Comeback. Also in the running for the award are Coronation Street's John Stape (Graeme Hawley), EastEnders' David Wicks (Michael French) and Hollyoaks' Steph Roach (Carley Stenson).

Benjie McNair, who plays Neighbours' Mal, first joined the soap in 1994 as the eldest child of Karl (Alan Fletcher) and Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne). He left the series in 1997, and made guest appearances in 2002 and 2004, before returning to film a four-month stint last year.

Voting for the All About Soap awards opens online on Tuesday 14 February, and a postal form will also be available in the magazine's next issue. The poll closes on Monday 27 February, with the winners to be announced next month.

    i loved when he came back and had a fling with jade.it took me back when docter karl had his fling with sarah beaumount and of course izzy hoyland.i think we will see mel back cause he had to go home and tell cathrine his wife,what if she had a affair frist be fore he could tell her.
