Neighbours stars on playing mum

There is nothing more satisfying for an actor than to have their roles enhanced, and this is literally the case for Neighbours stars Eve Morey and Alin Sumarwata.  Here is a sneak peek of how the gorgeous duo are expanding on the set at the moment.

Playing Sonya Mitchell and Vanessa Villante, the two glamorous expectant yummy mummies have been sporting burgeoning bellies for the last four months.

Alin knows first-hand what it’s like to have a bump having become a first-time mum late last year to a gorgeous baby girl.

'The best part about this pregnancy is I can regain my waist in a matter of seconds at the end of each day,' jokes Alin.

For Eve Morey, her character’s pregnancy is a dream come true.

'I think I wore down the writers to give Toadie and Sonya a baby for ages,' says Eve.  'After everything they have been through, it just seems like the most natural thing for these characters.'

This is the first time two regular characters have been pregnant at the same time, providing some great interaction as well as lots of laughs.

'Sonya and Vanessa have been able to play off each other sharing their experiences,' explains Eve.  'And it doesn’t end there; we have the labour and babies all ahead of us - lots of great stuff to work with.'

Two newborn babies cast as Sonya andVanessa’s offspring are set to arrive on-air in the coming months.
