With teen heartthrobs One Direction claiming their love for Neighbours, show producers have extended an open invitation for them to make a Ramsay Street cameo.

From Adele to Coldplay, Neighbours can count a who's who of celebrities among its millions of fans worldwide - and now teen heartthrobs One Direction have added their names to the line-up, revealing the show is one of their all-time favourites.

The band was in Melbourne last weekend to perform at Australia’s Logie Awards and became the lead story on the evening news bulletin after proudly singing the Neighbours theme tune to a local reporter.

Unfortunately, the boys’ frantic schedule didn’t allow for a visit to the Ramsay Street set; however, the producers promptly extended an open invitation for them appear in Charlie's Bar. 

Dr Karl has even offered to assist on vocals and guitar. Now who could refuse that opportunity?
