Super glam Melbourne model Pia Miller has swapped the catwalk for the iconic studios of Ramsay Street, by filming a guest role on Neighbours this week.
The Chilean-born beauty has been keen to stretch her talents beyond modeling, having completed a number of drama courses and workshops. Her current resume includes small roles in the feature film Big Mamma’s Boy, as well Aussie dramas Conspiracy 365 and East West 101, and a presenting role on Nine’s Postcards.
Pia will play guest character, Monica Wetherby, a kindergarten teacher who crosses paths with the soap’s resident doctor and heartthrob Dr Rhys Lawson, played by Ben Barber.
Pia, who launched her career after winning the Dolly Cover Girl Competition when she was just 14, has attracted a lot of overseas interest. While tempting as it is to try her luck in Los Angeles like most young hopefuls, she is staying put for the moment to develop her acting skills.
Her episode will air late November in Australia and January in the UK.
