I have to agree with all of the complaints. I sent an e-mail to five to complain about the service and got no response whatsoever from them. However, I have a possible solution. I was having problems with flashplayer while using firefox and I have downgraded from 11.3 to 11.2 and have not experienced any problems since. If you are using firefox that may be the issue. I have just started watching an episode and it works perfectly so I am hoping this was the problem.

I don't get why everyone is saying they're having a problem with demand 5... I have had no problems watching whatsoever and it works perfectly fine for me . yes there's the odd moment where it might go slow depending on net signals etc. but I suggest maybe people look into their web provider or their internet service? I don't think this is a fault of demand 5 at all.

This 42 minute programme took 85 minutes to play. The show is good but channel5 on demand is dreadful. Channel 5 please contact any of your competitors and ask then how to stream a programme properly.

Wow i cant belive how many others are having the same issue, i have reported a problem with the video but just the same as every one else the buffering just makes it impossable to watch, i cant follow the story ahhhh its such a shame its a fab show.

Hi everyone who says they have trouble watching these episodes. I don't know if it would have anything to do with the browser you are using, but I have never had a problem watching anything on 4, including any of these episodes and I use Google Chrome. If you haven't got it, maybe try downloading it and using that instead. If you still have problems, then I don't know - could it be your laptop/computer? Anyway have a go.

Whats the point in having a great show on a crap player ? i'm tired of commenting on the freezing throughout the episodes i try to watch. I had stopped watching them purely because of how frustrating it is and now i'm trying to catch up i see nothing has changed. Why does a 40 odd minutes show take over and hour to watch ?

After spending many a wasted hour trying to watch these episodes, I give up ! Can't get it to play and if it does it just pauses for ages then plays for a couple of seconds then pauses again ! Is anybody going to grace us with an explanation ? Why offer a service if you don't provide it ? Just don't bother advertising it on Channel 5 On Demand.

I had a problem like some of you viewing at first but then i tried a trick i have to do sometimes on other channels. If you pause the program, go and make a drink and come back and press play it usually plays much better.

Waste of time. Absolutely appalling service from Channel 5. Will be boycotting channel 5, 5 USA & 5* as a result of posting my own complaints, reading countless others and seeing channel 5 not even bothered enough to respond or even vaguely advise they are 'looking into the problem'. Viewers should just not bother to post comments and simply switch over. The Channel 5 family is off my listings!

Missed the show on 20th May. Tried to watch it on 5 Demand-NO CHANCE. Again it was impossible. If so many people are complaining, why have you not done something to fix this problem?

attempted to watch this episode an hour or so before the new one came on TV because I missed it last week. An hour and a half later and the episode is still playing because it keeps pausing, I thought it was my internet speed, but i've done a speed test and its fine. Not only has it taken longer than it should to play, I've now missed the start of this week's episode so I'm going to have to go through this whole problem again to catch up on tonight's episode! Not impressed, it seems like this happens every time I try to watch something on Demand Five

@CatStar Bully for you, most people find this website impossible to use, only the adverts play properly, we HAVE tried approaching through the appropriate channels but seeing that the adverts play fine, Channel 5 basically don't give a toss.

I have tried to watch this episode on here for the last 30 minutes- I find it a little annoying and some what suspicious that the adverts will play (and have been for the full 30 minutes) but the actual episode keeps freezing and booting me back to the beginning and guess what- the ADVERTS!!!

Well was worth the wait. This is probably my new favourite show after the demise of V. I hope we get to see more aoout Ruby and some of the lesser characters soon as I'm sure they have some very interesting tales to tell. All I ask now is that 5 don't let Sky buy this out for season 2.

I had no problem viewing this programme and I don't think people should get so worked up. It's a TV programme not the end of the world and I think the fact that C5 even put it up is good enough. If the video keeps getting stuck it's probably your own computer because mine is very old but seems to run it perfectly. C5 put this up to help people watch the programme but if you don't like it I suggest you watch it on the TV or find some other source, but don't clog up the comment section with pointless complaints. The comments area if for people to comment about the show, not the quality. If you do happen to have a problem then use the contact button instead!

Sat down to watch this tonight and have been looking forward to it and surprise surprise, it won't play again. You need to sort this out channel 5. This is the only decent programme I have seen you peddle out and is a good opportunity for you to get more viewers but it won't work if they can't watch your programmes!

Where are the subtitles for the hard of hearing? First they stop working properly and now we find that there isn't even an option to use them. And no, contry to popular beilief, turning up the sound does not make a diffrence as it is to do with clarity rather than loudness. Please get this sorted out as it is most frustrating. Thankyou

Try varying the times when you watch it. I always find difficulties with the player Monday and Tuesday, but later on in the week, or later at night it plays fine

Channel five, could you sort out the subtitles again? this is now the 3rd time i've posted on this site throughout the series so far, as a deaf viewer it totally destroys my viewing pleasure, it's such a shame that you've got a great program which is enjoyed by many and it's ruined by a small thing which could be quickly fixed (even better if it's fixed before going out online!)

Another let down by C5, again, gets stuck. Managed to watch 20 mins before it stopped completely. How many people and on how many programmes to people have to leave comments before C5 takes notice and sorts it out?

I've had the same problem with crashing and having to restart - if anyone else that experiences this contacts C5 by the contact us link at the bottom of the website then hopefully they will actually sort it out!!!

This is a wonderful programme but running it on this website causes delays in pausing voluntary makes for frustrating viewing plus no option for subtitles. Very dissapointed with 5 not the programme.

Channel 5, this is the second time I am posting a comment about the poor quality viewing experience on demand 5. What it is totally frustrating is that as viewers are not even able to successfully indicate that we are experiencing problems through your 'post a problem with this programme' link but are having to resort to posting comments publically because your recaptcha antispam system keeps getting blocked. The fact that so many viewers have complained about similar problems with viewing shows on this website over many weeks and that nothing seems to have got better, suggests that (a) you think you are doing your viewers a favour by providing the opportunity to see reruns of your shows and that we should be grateful for being patronaged with a quality of service on par with that of a 3rd world pirate company ; or (b) you just do care but just don't have the will, money, political and/or technical expertise or motivation to invest in decent website infrastructure. Neither explanation reflects particularly well on your professionalism or customer service and I'd be happy to hear alternative justification for what is an ogoing problem with your site. Given too, that it seems to be the embedded advertising that seems to be causing all the problems, you don's seem to be too concerned about providing a decent quality advertising service to your paying customers either! May I suggest that if you intend to offer a positive viewing experience through this site then please do it well or please just don't bother offering the service in the first place! Sally

A clever adaptation of well known fairytales.... darker but more modern, the evil Queen is amazing in this, and Rob Carlyle brilliant as the mis understood Rumplestiltskin!

Wow this is getting scarier by the minute I can't help but think that Robert Carlyle is going to strip off because that is what he is best remembered for as Gaz in the film The Full Monty the ending of The Full Monty is brilliant where Gaz gets told off by his son because he does not want to strip off in The Full Monty is there going to be another series of Once Upon A Time because it is really gripping and also can anyone tell me if this is going to be made into a book I like fairy stories thanks from Alison Howard

Gosh I really did not see that coming!!! How many others can the evil queen kill with just the clench of her fist? I'm loving this mix of fantasy with real life. i will have to remember to warch live on TV Sun 8pm to avoid the time wasting with this dodgy online system.
