From The Dark Knight co-writer Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions comes this high-tech crime thriller starring Jim Caviezel (The Thin Red Line), Michael Emerson (Lost) and Taraji P. Henson (Hustle & Flow).
After the attacks on the Twin Towers, a genius software developer was approached by the US government to produce a machine that gathers together data from every CCTV camera, every computer, every telephone and all other devices in an effort to study patterns of behaviour and predict where and when the next devastating terrorist attack will occur.
The developer is reclusive billionaire Harold Finch. He delivers ‘the Machine’ to the government, which then focuses its efforts on thwarting the next big attack. But Finch’s machine is so vast in its scope that it can predict lesser crimes. Through a back door in the programme, he is secretly supplied with the social security number of an individual who reaches the top of the Machine’s list. However, Finch does not know whether this person is the potential victim or the perpetrator of whatever crime is imminent.
Finch’s plan is to bring pre-emptive justice to the streets of New York, with the help of someone who has hit rock bottom - one John Reese, a former CIA agent widely presumed dead but now living off grid in the city...

the mid season break was bad enough but now I find it's back on tv to late and have missed 3 episodes, thought I would be at least able to use the catch up but it isn't even on there now I will have to buy the dvds when they are released , thanks channel 5 you have just lost a viewer.

Mid-season breaks are a mistake on shows aquired after original broadcast as they can lead to lower viewer ratings on its return as people buy the dvds or look elsewhere online to watch it. This can then make it appear that a show is maybe not all that popular which can then end up putting it on the path to cancellation - WE CANNOT WAIT UNTIL JANUARY so hurry up and put PoI back on the box!!!!!

The US had a break from mid-Dec to mid-Jan when it was originally shown. Could be that 5 have to delay the remaining episodes to keep the same transmission delay, possibly for financial reasons? 5 pick a lot of stuff up cheaper because it's a year old.

During the 'season break' that Channel 5 have imposed upon us, they are showing season two of Body of Proof. As Body of Proof season two runs for 20 episodes, Person of Interest won't be returning until March 12th, unless of course Channel 5 are planning on subjecting Body of proof to a 'season break' too, in which case, why not just show the complete season of Person of Interest and then the complete season of body of proof. Or is that just too damn sensible and simple! If Channel Five's plan was to drive its viewers nuts, they've succeeded admirably!

I hope you realise how concerned I am for Reeses wellbeing and health right now. I do not like being left in the lurch, I will be climbing the walls and pacing up and down waiting, knowing I will not find out until further notice for the next Episode, ideally screened tonight but been replaced with 'Body of Proof'.

Why have a break after just 10 episodes, when there are 23 episodes in the first series, and I believe that in the US are now starting on series 2. All this does is encourage people to look on the internet to watch the rest of the first series, instead of waiting. Bad call on part of the programming department in my opinion.

i have been patience and i have to say so far i've have been interested reese and finch have developed into two strange and quirky people and there's chemistry also i hope they bring back the hot lady from a previous episode, working as a fixer which reese seems to have something in common. the show has promise although JIM from 'Neighbours' popping up as a dodgy german assasin with a shifty russian accent didn't help just a blip i guess!
