At the hospital with a severe case of bogus back pain, Finch gets some attention from The Machine's latest person of interest: Dr Megan Tillman, who graduated top of her class from Columbia Medical School and hasn’t missed a day of work since her residency began. However, Reese discovers that Megan is not as antisocial as her profile would suggest, as she dons her glad rags and heads out on the town alone, even with a 6am shift ahead of her.
At a club, Reese spots an attentive man whom he recognises from Megan’s lunch queue, and with a little bump of his own he relieves him of his wallet to discover his identity – Andrew Benton, a Wall Street banker who carries a cocktail of drugs, including Rohypnol. All the same, Megan leaves alone at 3.30am, a habit the barman suggests happens rather frequently, making it to the hospital in time for her shift.
Finch discovers that Benton has had a string of accusations thrown at him for stalking, harassment and sexual assault, but has never been charged. Reese, meanwhile, turns up the heat on Fusco, his police informant, and discovers from withheld files that, while at college, Benton was accused of sexually assaulting Megan’s sister. He was never charged with anything as there was no conclusive evidence, but she died of an ‘accidental overdose’ a year later. Could Megan have her heart set on revenge?

Re freezing. I had this exact problem when I started to view episode 4, about 2 mins in. I solved it by right clicking on the video window to bring up the the options box for flash player, selecting settings and changing the "Local Storage" setting, IE a bigger local buffer. After that I had no more freezing. Just a suggestion.

where the subtitles. first 3 episodes showed it and ive been waiting for over a week for the 4th to show it. I'm not watching the next episode as it follows on. it be pointless

helen. Do you all log in before you choose your episode. I had the same problem with adverts etc untill I logged in ever since I have been able to watch everything. hope this helps!

I love this programme but it is painful too watch on demand 5, every few seconds it freezes, but the adverts seem to play all the way through with no problem. It actual puts me off using demand 5 as such a poor service :-(

I've watched the first three episodes no problem with subtitles, now i can't watch the 4th without subititles. I enjoyed each episode as i can understand what they're talking about with words. Please sort out the subtitles.

I like the way the police are portrayed as mindless arrest driven robots, than right or wrong, point or pointless. The show emphasises to me that life is more complicated than people wish to mindlessly hope. Also the seeming perpetual tears in the main stars eyes. He's cool but also has emotions, thoughtful. Interesting trend.

I too tried to watch ep. 3 and ended up watching all the ad's over and over.........each time it unfroze I had to watch them all again! In the end I gave up; I never found out how it ended, 'cos I just couldn't be asked to watch all those ad's yet again!!!

Great story. I like the way that the format can swap between protecting the victim, or looking for the persecutor and this story plays both forms in one tale. Do wish they would cut down on the video surveillance footage though. Worked fine first time with no encouragement.

Second tine of trying to watch episode 4, less than 10 seconds and it freezes - adverts beforehand were viewed OK! No point in offering 'on demand' service if for most viewers it doesn't work

@Hon. No, seriously, there were no end credits. Some adverts came on half way through a sentence, and that was it.. It was totally cut short. Thanks for the re-assurance, but I think Demand 5 is at fault.

Is there actually any point in Demand 5. There is more time spent with the picture frozen than running. Do advertisers really pay for this service. Well until I hear that D5 has done something about their poor performance, no-one will be advertising to me because I won't be switching on

Jon: it isn't cut short, it's 41 min long. SPOILERS: There is no "climax", no definite ending - it's up to us to imagine what the "good decision" is. Good episode, finally with some real character building. No ads, no freezes, smooth streaming as usual.

Never had a problem with the player before (so not complaining, just flagging it up) but this particular episode will not let me watch more than a few minutes before freezing/crashing. Great service normally so again, not complaining but just wanted to bring it up.

I am so glad that I am not the only one having problems with channel 5 online, it keeps freezing and skipping. I too have no other problems watching other channels except this one, and don't understand why the adverts don't play up like the programmes do, very strange!!!!!!!!!!!!

am giving up watching this episode. how come I can watch every other channel without hassle but 5 keeps freezing? I wonder how many people have to fill in the problem box until 5 do something about it. Shows they don't care about us or their tech reputation being shoddy.

Cant even get episode 4 to play, cant wiggle the bar around as doesnt appear, had problems with previous episodes but have managed to get them to play in end, no such luck with episode 4 - and never easy to watch i have same probs with adverts and crashing - always havent to reload!

Channel 5 really don't need defending Kev! It is ridiculous that ads just cut into a sentence or scene. If this service is to compete with others, it really needs some attention from someone who knows what they are doing. Don't forget Kev, that if people like me face such stupid editing, we do stop using the service. Then, guess what? Ratings fall, and so does the advertising revenue enjoyed by the channel

the amount of ads where ridiculous never mind the fact that they would be cut half way through a sentence i also would have missed the end had i not gone back and tried to view again as an ad cut the ending !!! seriously ch5 get it sorted, bbc and itv havent got these many issues!!

I really like this series but the background music is too loud in places and makes it very difficult to hear some of the dialogue. The actors are really bad at enunciating their lines. Too bad!

Is such a pity you employ people who take your money to provide video, then give users naff video players that crash / stick. All your players can play happily is ads - sack them ALL. You tell me to keep comng back with: "This episode is coming soon to Demand 5." Then you tell me to go away with: "Sorry, this episode is not currently available to watch on Demand 5." The result is I don't get to watch the program and I think less of CH5. Why not explain why you cannot give viewable times - or even better give times when the program is viewable.

Will not play, and others have tried on their machines and it will not play. The other Episode 1 and 2 will play but 3 will not play.
