Mac stops a driver for having no insurance and unearths a huge drugs haul. Tim and Ange stop an alleged road-rage suspect armed with a table leg, and Phil wakes up the neighbours in his search for a couple of taxi fare dodgers.
To think that decriminalising the possession/use/selling of cannabis is a good idea is madness! Any attempt to make it 'regulated' will no doubt cause more problems then solve them. Cannabis is a drug - drugs destroy home lives. Children are at risk of the legal or illegal use of drugs regardless of its classification - take cannabis psychosis for instance! The war on drugs should continue at full pace.
it's no so bad getting it when you know where it's been produced and for what reason, but certainly alot of the money goes towards crime. Thing is it doesn't matter if it's legal or illegal, people are still going to get hold of it and go out their own way.
It mystifies me why they are so committed to stamping out cannibas since the entire country is addicted to alchohol. If people realized how much police time is taken up dragging boozed up people off the high street and out of cars. This is first and foremost the greatest 'drug' issue in this country
if we wer to legalised cannibas but so only certian retailers could sell it and it was strictly controlled by the goverment they could tax as much as they do backy that would help us out of this recesession , i also say if it was legal to smoke it should be against the law to drive under the influance
Simon and Paul, although your comments may have merits the sales of cannabis is often a source of income for criminal gangs leading to further crime, what you are suggesting is allowing them to sell this for ILLEGAL profit. Also, allowing people to smoke cannabis whilst driving is just as bad as drink driving, more and more accidents on the road are the result of individuals that are unfit to drive due to being under the influence of drugs. You need to think about the bigger picture before suggesting that it should be legalised rather than just thinking about the end users who may enjoy smoking it!
Beth Kitchen you need to wake up and live in the real world, drugs do damage the human body but so does tobacco and alchol more so than cannabis. If a person chooses to smoke cannabis then thats is their decision and they have to live with the consequences.. What the police do will never ever prevent an addiction!
You must live in a bubble Beth! Wake up and smell the coffee
I agree with Josh. I believe it is important that people do not take the drug as it can seriously damage the body. Well Done Police Interceptors for catching those people so many drug people and helping them get rid of there adiction. THANK YOU.
I love watching Police Interceptors but it saddens me how much time and resources the police waste on arresting people for cannabis. It's time for politicians to think about decriminalisation as the so called war on drugs is a complete failure and I'm sure the police would rather spend their time catching real criminals and making communities safer, instead of busting people for smoking/possessing a plant!
