Banita Ludhor
Banita Ludhor started cooking at an early age, and is heavily influencd by Indian and Mauritian cuisine.
Banita lives with her husband Krish and two children, for whom she cooks a mixture of Indian and Mauritian recipes. She and her three sisters started cooking at an early age, often called upon to help their mother with the family meals, and through university she continued to hold dinner parties for friends and flatmates.
Banita is from a very close family, and at weekends they often get together to prepare and eat meals at her mother-in-law's house; barely a month passes without a huge celebratory gathering.
Although Indian and Mauritian recipes dominate her repertoire, Banita also likes to cook pasta dishes and some classic British puddings, including her signature apple crumble. She is also influenced by TV shows such as MasterChef for inspiration on how to present and improve her food.
About the team
Despite the closeness in the family, Banita is still very competitive with her sister in the kitchen.
Joining Banita for the competition is her younger sister Reena, the party girl of the team, and cousin Randeep.
Banita hopes to be cheered on by a big group of family members, including her two other sisters.
