The Cook Off kitchens come to Greenwich, where Siobhan Kennedy-Hall’s Box of Frogs team takes on Paulene Enigbokan’s 3 Degrees.
The open-air kitchen clash makes its first stop in Portsmouth, where Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke joins Ainsley on the judges’ panel to decide the winner in the battle of the bloggers. Contestants Meg and Filipa are both stay-at-home mums who like to share their thoughts and recipes to the world at large through their blogs.
In the first round, Family Favourite, Meg is joined on Team Waterloo by her friend Tazz, to help her create her Gnocchi with Bloody Mary Sauce. All goes smoothly, until a slip with a sharp knife threatens to over-egg the Bloody Mary Sauce. Filipa’s commis chef on her Gourmet K team is her husband Rich, as they get to work on her Fabulous Fish Pie. Her Portuguese roots add a unique flavour to this classic dish. Will it go down well with the judges?
The second-round theme is Me-Time Meal, which inspires Meg to cook Tuna with Wasabi Mash. Filipa is joined by mum Kathy to create Piri Piri Chicken. So which team will tantalise the judges’ tastebuds the most? And will Filipa’s Piri Piri prove to be too hot for the judges to handle?
