Episode 6

The second semi-final sees the the Cook Off kitchens return to Greenwich, where Banita’s Chilli’s Angels take on Kate’s Cooking Up A Storm. Joining Ainsley on the judges panel is TV presenter Jeff Brazier, whose first job is to taste the results of round one, Food To Impress.

Banita’s sister Randeep joins her for the first round, and the girls produce prawn and paneer skewers. In the opposing red aprons, Kate and her commis chef Ben try their hand at Indian-style fish and chips, a risky recipe she says that she has only attempted once before. Which dish will make the best impression on the judges?

The second round puts the teams’ Family Favourite Desserts on the menu. A summery peach fool is Cooking Up A Storm’s offering, while Chilli’s Angels put a trio of strawberry, ginger and lychee cheesecakes on the menu. Which team has the right ingredients to make it to the final?
